Sidney Silva began his Martial Arts career at the age of 6 when he began to train in the art of Judo. He continued in this discipline for many years, reaching his black belt in and becoming a 6x Judo State Champion in Brazil before he chose to train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for its similarities to Judo in fighting style. Upon moving to Hawaii from his home country of Brazil, Sidney focused his training in MMA and Muay Thai and began his MMA career after being invited to compete in Rumble of the Rock 2 in Hilo, Hawaii. He quickly won his first bout by submission. His career in MMA took off from there. As well as winning the Hawaiian Jiu Jitsu Championships 4x among several other championships, such as 2x Jiu Jitsu State Champion in Brazil and 5x Hawaiian Submission Grappling Champion and Icon Welterweight Champion. He was invited to come teach and train at Wand Fight Team and now calls Las Vegas his home.
